WHat kind of candy? What kind of thing? What is it that you give out on Halloween?(I can rhyme) I give out candy, but one years this one lady gave quaters!!!

That lady is one dumb lady... 100 kids that come to your house, thats 25 dollars down the drain.

I waited untill late at night then went to go trick or treating, they give you all the candy left over.

I don't give anything out because I'm out using my size to trick everyone into thinking i'm 13

We give out decent candy. Not the super mini ones the regualr mini ones. I do buy a bag of Dum-Dum suckers for teenagers that should not be out there. It is pure joy to give the little tykes the good Snicker bars at the door while at the same time I give the older teenagers the Dum-Dum suckers.

The look on the older kids faces is worth it!

i do used to do the opposite

visit all the houses that leave out the candy in a bowl before anyone else

take all the candy!!!!!!!!!! woot i luv those houses

Hehe... a lot of old people around my neighborhood used to do that. Halloween=bus money for a month

well, i save a bag or 4 of Aldi sweets...last year was jellybeans, this year is gummi teddybears....

then i get the celophane wrappers you get from cards
(my mom used to work for a greeting card maker and they used to dum piles of miss cut celophane..mom knew i was into crafts, so they let her grab a few of them and i still have some even now)
i turn the bag ino 2 square wrappers, pop a handfull of sweets into the middle and tie it up with black paper ribbon from the florists..they never get much call for the black ribbon, only for funeral stuff, so its cheap and matches halloween

so each kid gets one of those, and whatever sweets my mom gets.
sometimes i give out chocolate covered apples, since i never get he toffee to stick lol.
and they sometimes get a gingerbread cookie in the shape of a pumpkin.

*yes, i live in the UK, but i wish our lot played halloween like the USA, instead of the uptight brit grannies who whine about it being a evil night...i mean, the USA has the bible belt, but (and tell me if i frelled this up, people) they dont stop the kids having fun in the candy and costume part, right?....and you grown ups get to dress up to, and party sometimes..man, i wish we did that, instead of just watching scary TV and going down the pub with its smelly pumpkin decoration....*majour USA envy here, folks

Several years ago one old man said that if we came back ten minutes before the "trick or treating" time was up, he'd give us everything he had left. We did, and wound up getting a 24 pack of pepsi, a twelve pack of Dr. Pepper, and 2 trash bags worth of assorted chocolate bars (Snickers, Milky Way, Baby Ruth, Hershey's, 100 Grand, etc).

I stopped trick-or-treating after that, because I don't think we ever finished it. Ever.

lol pie, i ran into the same kind of people and had to drag my 6 pillowcases jampacked with candy all the way home

i ate like a king for two years just off that candy
